RIMOS AUTOMOTIVE - SERVICE WRITER/PARTS MANAGER WANTED

Rimo's Automotive - is owned by Richard and Amanda Moffett since July 2020, in a small shop 2 bays and 3 lifts. We work on all makes and models with an extensive customer following.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Service Writer in efficiently managing repair orders and keeping customers informed about their service needs and repair progress.
2. Oversee the flow of work and materials between departments, ensuring timely completion of all tasks according to the production schedule.
3. Collaborate with technicians to identify and procure necessary parts for service repairs, ensuring availability for scheduled jobs.
4. Maintain and organize the department’s parts inventory, manage stock levels, and ensure parts and equipment are well-organized and accounted for.
5. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to order parts, coordinate deliveries, manage returns, and handle warranties. We will provide training to the right candidate.
6. Keep detailed records of parts received, repairs completed, and associated costs, ensuring accuracy and organization.
7. Support the training of new team members and contribute to fostering a positive and productive work environment.
8. Stay current with industry developments in technology, materials, and repair methods to ensure up-to-date service practices.
9. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional post-secondary education is a plus.
2. Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within an automotive service or repair shop, is preferred.
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
4. Familiarity with inventory software, databases, and systems such as Mitchell ShopManager is beneficial.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
